Capchem represented at 2024 SelectUSA Investment Summit

Capchem Chairman Johnson Qin, with members of the Capchem USA team, attended the SelectUSA Investment Summit held in June. The team met with key U.S. officials, including James Golsen, Deputy Director General of the U.S. and Foreign Commercial Service at the International Trade Administration; Everett Wakai, Minister Counselor for Commercial Affairs at the U.S. Embassy in Beijing; and Scott Shaw, Deputy Assistant Secretary for China and Mongolia at the U.S. Department of Commerce.

Facilitating business investment by connecting thousands of investors, companies, economic development organizations, and industry experts, the Summit is the highest profile event in the U.S. bringing these industry experts together to make deals happen. Hosted by the U.S. Department of Commerce, this one-stop shop is focused on companies considering expanding to the U.S.
The Chinese delegation also met with Deputy Under Secretary for International Trade Diana Farrell. During this meeting, Chairman Qin outlined Capchem USA’s projects in Ohio and Louisiana. Chairman Qin and Deputy Under Secretary Farrell discussed the global economy and the critical importance of trade between China and the United States.

Chairman Qin was also invited to participate in a panel discussion at the Annual Meeting of the U.S.-China Chamber of Commerce (USCCC). The panel, “Chinese Corporate Presence and Investment in the U.S.”addressed the opportunities and challenges faced by enterprises in the complex macro environment and strategies for adjusting their strategic layouts. Chairman Qin remarked, “All great enterprises will experience difficulties, and to cope with various operational and market challenges, Chinese enterprises in the United States need to have a global perspective and an in-depth understanding of local U.S. laws and regulations in order to succeed.” He emphasized Capchem USA will expand global presence and market development to further promote a new global energy industry.
