On January 19, 2026, Novolyte Technology Sdn. Bhd. ("Novolyte Malaysia"), a core subsidiary of Capchem (Stock Code: 300037), grandly held the groundbreaking ceremony for its new battery electrolyte manufacturing facility at Kulim Hi-Tech Park in Kedah, Malaysia. The official launch of this project marks the further deepening of Capchem's internationalization strategy in Southeast Asia, adding another important fulcrum to its global production layout.

As a global leader in electronic chemicals and functional materials, Capchem boasts over 30 years of in-depth industry experience and has laid a solid foundation in the Southeast Asian market. Previously, its Phase I Plant operating in the same Malaysian high-tech park was the first among Chinese electrolyte enterprises to achieve local production and local order fulfillment. It has not only accumulated mature localized operation capabilities but also consolidated its regional market position, providing strong support for the smooth construction and commissioning of the new base.
The newly built production base is scheduled to be officially put into operation in the fourth quarter of 2026, with the first-phase production capacity expected to reach 30,000 tons. After commissioning, the products will focus on covering the Malaysian domestic and Southeast Asian new energy markets. This will not only fill the gap in the supply of high-end lithium battery electrolytes in the region but also meet the needs of global customers for localized supply chain layout, providing high-quality electrolyte products for local and surrounding markets and boosting the upgrading of the regional new energy industry and global energy transition.

Representatives from relevant institutions including the Malaysian Investment Development Authority, Kedah State Executive Councillor for Industry and Investment,Kulim Municipal Council,Kulim District Customs Station,and Kulim Hi-Tech Park Deputy Group,were invited to attend the groundbreaking ceremony, all expressing strong support for the project's launch. This demonstrates the local government's high attention to high-quality projects in the new energy industry. Dr. Haim, Member of the Legislative Assembly of Kedah, and Zhou Youbin, Consul-General of the Chinese Consulate General in Penang, attended the event to extend their congratulations.Mr. Zhou Dawen, Vice Chairman of Capchem, delivered a speech at the ceremony, stating: "We are fully confident in the development potential of the Southeast Asian new energy market. The production base invested in and constructed this time will set a benchmark for high-end electronic chemicals in the region.
