Capchem Wins Samsung “Best Partner Award” for 2024

Nov. 2024 – At Samsung SDI’s annual supplier conference, “Partners Growing Together Day,” held at the Hilton Seoul Pangyo Hotel, Capchem received the prestigious Best Partner Award for 2024. The recognition highlights Capchem’s exceptional service, technological innovation, and product quality in the electrolyte field.

Capchem Chairman Johnson Qin attended the event alongside Samsung SDI executives and more than 200 supply chain partners. Capchem’s Korean office was specifically lauded for its efficient customer service and overall competitiveness. Notably, Capchem was the only electrolyte supplier honored at the event.

This achievement highlights Capchem’s role as a strategic partner in Samsung’s supply chain and its commitment to advancing global green energy through innovation. Looking ahead, Capchem aims to deepen collaborations with international partners via its European and U.S. projects, continuing its mission to deliver cutting-edge solutions for the global battery industry.

Samsung SDI and GM are jointly investing $3.5 billion in an electric vehicle (EV) battery manufacturing plant in Indiana. The plant will be GM’s fourth in the U.S. and its first partnership with Samsung SDI. The plant will produce nickel-rich prismatic batteries, which are most cost efficient and resistant to external shocks that other types of batteries.
