Capchem Wins LGES "Best Partner Award" of 2024

Nov. 12 – Capchem was honored with the 2024 Best Partner Award at the LG Energy Solution’s (LGES) “Partner Day” Annual Supplier Conference at Konjiam Resort. The event brought together over 80 global suppliers, including Capchem, to align LGES’s market strategy and goals for synergistic development.

Capchem stood out as the only electrolyte supplier in LGES’s raw material supply chain to receive the award, recognizing their product quality, technological innovation, and critical role as a strategic partner.

LG' s 2023 announcement of the single largest investment ever for a battery manufacturing complex in North America includes two separate manufacturing facilities in Arizona. A $3.2 billion facility will be dedicated to the manufacturing of cylindrical batteries for electric vehicles (EVs) with a production capacity of 27 GWh/year. The second $2.3bn facility will be dedicated to the manufacturing of lithium iron phosphate (LFP) pouch-type batteries for energy storage systems (ESS) with a production capacity of 16 GWh/year. Commercial operations at the EV and ESS facilities are expected to begin from 2025 and 2026, respectively.
